Arrested and detained Convener of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has revealed people behind his arrest in Kenya.
Recall that, since the arrest of Kanu in Kenya and repatriation to Nigeria on June 26, he has been locked up in detention at the DSS office in Abuja, where he has to face charges over alleged treason and other criminal counts.
His first trial took place at a court sitting in Abuja High court, where it was later postponed to October 22, where two more charges were added to his impending five charges, making a total of seven charges count.
His last trial was held secretly in the absence of media houses, journalists, or reporters after they were all barred by DSS officials. His application to be moved to a correctional center over health issues was rejected and his case was adjourned to November 22.
Days ago, news started making rounds on social media that Mazi Kanu was sold to the Nigerian Government in Kenya by his family members, his brother, Kanunta Kanu, Carolyn Okoroafor, and other close allies.
However, via his lead counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Nnamdi Kanu has revealed the people behind his arrest in Kenya.
The British-Nigerian stated that those behind his arrest were the corrupt Kenya officials that sold him out, and he also expressed his displeasure over the news, which he debunked as fake.
He also stated that the rumors were intended to create division, and mischief among his families and members of Biafra, and directed that nobody should attack Mazi Kanunta Kanu (His Brother) or Carolyn Okoroafor, Madam Nnennaya, or any other mentioned names in the news.
He also extended his greetings to all Biafra members for their firm support, and peaceful conduct so far, enjoining them to keep the fire burning and shun any kind of distraction.
Kanu’s next trial will hold November 22, where his fate will be decided.
