The Anambra election rerun for Ihala was set to hold today, between 12 pm and 4 pm, but surprisingly earlier today, APGA Chieftain, Victor Umeh was denied entry into Ihiala.

Recall that the Anambra gubernatorial election happened on Saturday, November 5, and it was free and fair throughout all the 21 Local Government Areas in the state.

But unfortunately during result collation, the Independent Electoral Commission noticed that Ihala Local Government with over 148,000 votes, could not vote due to security reasons, and the election was declared inconclusive.

Though with the collated results so far, Charles Soludo from All Progressive Grand Alliance Party won 17 local Government, Ifeanyi Uba won one, and Andy Uba won one, after the collation of the final result, the winner will be announced.

A rerun was set for Ihala Local Government Area which is holding today, but during the election, APGA Chieftain, Victor Umeh was denied entry into Ihiala by security forces at the local government secretariat.

This has sparked reactions, on why the chieftain would be denied access to the Local Government Area.

When the GOC of all the deployed team was contacted he stated that he Umeh was denied access to allow for a free and fair election.
