Barrister Ibrahim Salami, the defense counsel for the arrested Yoruba nation agitator, revealed that Sunday Igboho was diagnosed with a kidney problem in Benin Republic.
Earlier today, lawyer salami during an interview with BBC Yoruba, said Igboho Sunday Igboho was diagnosed with kidney problem in Benin Republic, and he collapsed earlier and had to be rushed to hospital.
He further said,” when Igboho was arrested, he complained regularly of stomach ache and had to visit the hospital regularly from the prison yard, initially, this was regarded as nothing serious, but its rather shocking to discover this after few months, the ailment worsen and was found to be a liver problem, his condition is currently critical, and has been placed under close care of the doctors.
The political-business personnel was arrested at Benin Republic airport, about over three months now, after he was caught using a fake passport to board a plane to Germany to seek asylum after facing differentattacks in Nigeria.
The incident that made him flee was the DSS attack that was made on his house in Soka, which led to the death of two of his boys and about fifteen others were arrested, but he managed to escape unhurt.
