Governors under the aegis of the People Democratic Party, makinde and others zone PDP National Chairman to North, after a reviews meeting on Tuesday.
Recall that there have been so many controversies regarding the zoning of the People Democratic Party National zoning chairman, a committee that Governor Ugwuanyi Ifeanyi of Enugu State led was set up to look into the matter and present their report.
The report given by the committee was in favor of the southern candidates; the committee stated that the position has resided in the northern side for too long, saying that southwards should also be given space to perform at the position.
With this new development, the People Democratic Party National Chairman and its deputy, National Secretary and National Legal Adviser would be dissolved and zoned out to the new region.

After zoning the post to the North, members of PDP from the Southwest were angry at the stance of the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, and Governor Of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, stating that the both are working against the South to seek favor in the eye of the northern candidate that will run for the 2023 general poll.
This later led to a disagreement between Seyi Makinde and Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State.
