Shehu Sani, a former Senator from Kaduna Central, took to Twitter this morning to discuss Nigeria’s former president, Ibrahim Babangida.
Shehu Sani wrote in a tweet that if people knew uncle Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida well, they would know that no matter how simple his words or remarks are, they would need a priest or Oracle to interpret them in order to grasp what he is saying.
Shehu Sani, I believe, is referencing to recent reports that Ibrahim Babangida has declared his support for Vice President Yemi Osibanjo.
IBB revealed that Yemi Osibanjo is someone who has a great passion for Nigeria and can communicate with the country and inspire the people during the Osibanjo grassroot organization’s visit to IBB’s house in Minna yesterday. Babangida said someone like Osibanjo is good to work with and Nigeria needs a good person to be its leader. Osibanjo was also advised by Babangida to stay on track.
Following the visit, Ojo Foluso, the national convener of the Osibanjo organization, stated that they came to consult the Oracle, and the Oracle has spoken; he added that Babangida is an oracle because he knows Nigeria well, and he is pleased with Babangida’s endorsement. Ojo Foluso also stated that the group will continue to try to persuade Yemi Osibanjo to run for president in 2023.
