As the race for the presidency intensifies in Nigeria ahead of the 2023 general elections, chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Southeast, Chinedu Ogah has come out to give reasons why his party’s standard bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the best man to take the nation forward.
Speaking during an interview on TVC’s ‘Hallowed Chambers’, Ogah, who represents Ikwo Eza South Federal Constituency in Ebonyi at the House Of Representatives, opined that Tinubu’s decision to engage the services of touts in tax collection while serving as Lagos governor in the bid solve the security crisis in the state is enough evidence that he will solve the myriad agitations and security challenges in the country if elected.
He said; “Security is not a one-man show. It is a joint venture. Dialogue is the best solution to the issue. Let me shed more light on it to you. There was a time ‘alayes’ and ‘agberos’ took over Lagos and you saw what Asiwaju did. He brought them in, dialogued with them, and engaged them in tax collections and so many other things, and as you can see, Lagos started moving. It is all about a sense of belonging. We need to give everybody in this country a sense of belonging.”
