A prominent chieftain of the People Democratic Party has applied and asked a federal high court to stop PDP National Convention.

Recall that the National convention for the People Democratic Party has been slated to hold on October 30 and 31 in Abuja, where a new National chairman for the party will be elected and unveiled.

Hon. Yari Danjuma, a colossal figure and one of the National chairman aspirants has filed suit to a Federal High Court in Abuja, asking to stop PDP National Convention that is coming up in a few days.

He stated that the party refused to release or sell the chairmanship form to interested contestants, and the form was only accessed and made available to a certain few people.

Danjuma stated that the action was illegal, undemocratic, unconstitutional because they intentionally refused to sell the nomination form to him and others, due to shady and unknown reasons.

He sought that the court should halt the upcoming convention until necessary and due protocols see followed, Danjuma also tagged the Independent National Electoral Commission, and ask that they should monitor the national convention electoral process, and also dissolve any candidate elected or appointed as the national chairman of the party.

This is coming after, Prince Uche Secondus (Former chairman of the party) also filed a petition to a court asking that the National convention should be halted.
