The Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s personality has been brought into question after documents were released by the United States on his involvement with the drug business and money laundering of thousands of dollars. The Spokesperson of the APC, Festus Keyamo said in an Arise Tv interview that Asiwaju has no involvement with drug peddlers and that he only shared some blocks of flats with them in the states. Keyamo explained that the address being used by Tinubu to open the account was linked to the drug peddlers and that he has nothing in common with them.
Popular Arise Tv Journalist, Rufai Oseni has reacted to the words of Festus Keyamo by explaining the need for Nigerians to investigate further on this issue. He said, ”This issue has been on for some time now, it’s political season and everything will come out but we should also introspect deeper because you see the question here is about character of people that want to lead this country. And it has to be said and that’s why when any candidate has this, they must come to explain beyond reasonable doubts. Apart from Festus Keyamo, the APC should get more people to explain all of this because it’s constantly about Asiwaju’s character questions.”
