Two Lawmakers have dragged Governor Simon Lalong to court over the impeachment of Ayuba Abok as the speaker of the parliament in the Plateau House of Assembly.
Recall that BEST NEWS NETWORK reported on October 28 that the Plateau House of Assembly Speaker, Ayok, was impeached by a member of the assembly over alleged misuse of power and embezzlement of funds.
The motion was tabled before the house. Unfortunately, 16 members voted to impeach him, while 8 supported him, and Yakubu Sanda from Pengans constituency was elected as the new speaker.
The impeachment was followed with many reactions, as the house had to be locked after violence broke out.
