Former Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode is set to return into the political game under the aegis of the People Democratic Party (PDP) after his long break.
Ambode went into exile for the past few years after he lost the All Progressive Congress Party primaries to run for the second term in office as Lagos State Governor.
His loss could be affiliated to the dispute between him and his Godfather, Bola Ahmad Tinubu (Former Governor Of Lagos) who happened to control APC, Lagos Branch.
The duo was said to have had a fallout, which made Tinubu incite party members against him, which cost him the party’s primary election.
However, Akinwunmi Ambode is set to return to the political game under the aegis of PDP. He gave this speculation via his Twitter page, where he urged all youths to get their permanent Voters Card ready.
Mr. Ganiu Taofik, a PDP chieftain also stated that the members of the People Democratic Party will accept Akinwunmi Ambode.
