INEC Announces Time To Commence Announcement Of Governorship Election Results In Imo, Bayelsa And Kogi

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is gearing up for the collation of results in the off-cycle governorship elections held on Saturday, 11th November 2023, across three states: Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi.

According to INEC, the Collation Center at its State headquarters in Yenagoa, Bayelsa, will commence operations at 9 pm today. Simultaneously, the Imo State Collation Center is set to open its doors at 10 pm.

While the readiness of the Kogi Collation Centre to receive results from the state’s 21 LGAs is confirmed, the official announcement for the commencement of collation is still pending as of the latest report. However, an INEC official hinted that the exercise is likely to kick off tomorrow (Sunday).
