The Ex-Governor of Ekiti state, Peter Fayose is set to be arraigned before a court over alleged fraud and embezzlement.
Recall that, in the year 2018 after finishing his four years tenure as the Executive Governor of Ekiti state, he voluntarily appeared at the Economic Financial Crime Commission headquarters in Abuja and proved himself that he did not commit any embezzlement, or fraud while in office.
However, an update reaching BEST NEWS NETWORK is that the former Governor, Fayose and his self-established company SPOTLESS will be arraigned before a High Court sitting in Lagos State over fraud related charges.
EFCC slammed a four-count charge of money laundering, embezzlement of public funds to sponsor election campaigns, theft, failure to declare assets, and other financial crimes.
The case will be presided and judged by Justice Chukwujkwu Abeke.
