Boko Haram Beheads 11 Loggers In Tragic Attack Near Bale, Borno

In a devastating incident, suspected Boko Haram insurgents beheaded 11 loggers near the remote village of Bale in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State. The gruesome attack occurred at 5 pm, and the victims’ bodies were discovered at the scene.

Local vigilantes, who found the victims in a pool of blood with dismembered body parts, ensured they were buried according to Islamic rites.

A member of the vigilante group reported the recovery of six bodies on the evening of the incident, mentioning that the bodies were mutilated. An additional five bodies were found the following morning.

According to a witness from the vigilante group, the loggers were attacked at their charcoal site by about 15 suspected Boko Haram members who arrived on camels.

The witness described the horrifying scene where the victims’ bodies were cut into pieces. While some managed to escape, the fate of five individuals remains uncertain.

Currently, soldiers and vigilantes are actively engaged in the area following this tragic event.
