Ahead of the 2023 general elections, a Nigerian lawmaker, senator Enyinnaya Abaribe has reacted to the allegations made by the executive governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike that a certain amount of money was given to him not to leave the people’s democratic party.
Reacting to the development, Senator Abaribe wondered how governor Wike could bribe him not to the leave the people’s democratic party ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Senator Abaribe also considered it more worrisome to even think that a lawyer and a governor of a state can come to the public to say that he bribed Abaribe not to the leave the people’s democratic party.
According to Senator Abaribe, Nyesom Wike only said that because he was in Abia state to campaign for his opponent who is the governor of the state, Okezie Ikpeazu.
While responding, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe wondered “how could he bribe me not to leave PDP?”.
Senator Abaribe made this remark during an interview between the 4th and 5th minute.
