The Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, said on Thursday that President Bola Tinubu is not only the president of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, but also a leader of Nigeria.
The ex-governor of Rivers State said this when leaders from the APC party in his state, led by the National Vice Chairman of APC, South-South, Mr. Victor Giadom, came to see him in Abuja.
However, he said that the president has the right to prioritize the interests of his political party while leading the country.
He said that political parties were like vehicles that take you to where you want to go. He also said that President Tinubu cares more about the interests of Nigerians than any other interests.
Mr. President, after coming into power, is not just a president of the APC party, but a president of the entire country of Nigeria.
When the president runs the country, they also have to think about what their political party wants. “No one can prevent that; it’s natural,” he said.
