There had been so much question running through the minds of Nigerians about why soldiers arrested popular actor Chiwetalu Agu in Onitsha earlier today.
Earlier today, a video was shared online where security officers of the Nigerian Army arrested famous Nollywood actor Chinwetalu Agu in the commercial city of Anambra state; in the video, Chiwetalu was captured and dragged into their vehicle.
According to an eyewitness, the cum actor was arrested when he was sharing food items, clothes, and other forms of charity to the less privileged.
The reason why soldiers arrested popular actor Chiwetalu Agu in Onitsha was related to his involvement in the Indigenous People Of Biafra group; the actor was accused of always wearing or carrying Biafra insignia, logo, or related emblems everywhere.
One of his fellow Nollywood actors, who pleaded anonymity, stated that the arrest was dehumanizing, regrettable, unfortunate, and violating fundamental human rights.
“My sources in the military told me that actor Agu was arrested because of his underground activeness in the IPOB cases; he has always been studied to wear IPOB’s muffler, he is currently in our custody.”
When the DSP, Tochukwu Ikenga, the spokesman for the Police Department in Anambra, revealed that the police had not yet been briefed on the incident.
