The residence of renowned Nigerian singer, Adekunle Temitope, popularly known as Small Doctor, has been engulfed in flames, as depicted in viral videos capturing the destruction of the artist’s multi-million-naira property.
In the footage, individuals can be seen attempting to salvage remnants from the home, now reduced to ashes. Small Doctor confirmed the unfortunate incident on his Instagram page, expressing gratitude for life and safety while attributing the loss to a sign of greater things to come.
He shared, “No pressure for the Lord is with me,” and reassured that no lives were lost in the fire. In a poignant statement, he remarked, “Ile Alaafin to jo, ewa lo bu kun,” translating to “a king’s house that burns is an opportunity for beautification.”
Small Doctor, who commenced his music career in 2012, gained widespread recognition with his 2018 single ‘Penalty,’ which clinched the award for ‘Best Street Hop’ at The Headies 2018. Despite the setback, the artist remains a prominent figure in the Nigerian music industry, having earned multiple accolades for his contributions.
He composes most of his songs in both English and Yoruba, Small Doctor’s journey in the music scene has been marked by success.
