President Bola Tinubu praised the Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu, on his 80th birthday celebration.
Tinubu said in a statement that the Oba of Lagos is a close friend and trusted companion. The statement was signed by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
President Bola Tinubu is celebrating the 80th birthday of his close friend and ally, His Majesty, Oba Rilwan Akiolu of Lagos State.
Based on the statement, the President says that the monarch is very wise, knowledgeable, and strongly protects the important culture and traditions of Lagos.
He said, “Oba Akiolu and I have been friends for a long time.” He is someone I trust and confide in. He is a close friend who I greatly respect for his honesty, integrity, and straightforwardness. He is always kind with his wise advice and always ready to offer his fatherly guidance.
Baba protects the truth and his people. I owe some of my accomplishments as the Governor of Lagos State to his assistance and advice. The king’s rule has brought peace, progress, and growth to the people of Lagos.
President Tinubu expressed gratitude to the Oba, who is also known as Eleko of Eko, for his continuous prayers and support. The President remembered the times when the Oba had helped, even during difficult situations.
