Soldiers of the Nigerian has attacked the base of the bandits in Sokoto after several cases of abduction, massacre was reported.
Sabon Birni Local Government Area has been under the constant attacks of bandits for almost a decade.
Killing, raping, abduction, extortion, and torturing residents were the order of the day.
However, things went awool after Soldiers attacked the bandits base in Sokoto, which resulted in a gun duel at Kuzari Village in the Local Government.
After two hours of shooting, the Nigerian Army stood talk after killing almost all the bandits while few managed to escape; only one soldier was injured in the leg and his receiving treatment at the military facility.
After the gun duel, the Soldiers recovered weapons, motorcycles, cars, and other valuables from the bandits, all set ablaze.
A soldier who pleaded anonymously stated that they were on patrol before they coincidentally met with the bandits, who were busy tormenting the people again.
They wouldn’t surrender without a fight which led to the shooting scene.
