The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has launched eNaira, Nigeria’s first digital currency.

There are currently two applications for the digital currency: eNaira spend wallet and eNaira merchant wallet.
According to News Direct’s checks on Monday, the two apps are now available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
According to a statement on the eNaira website, interested individuals can sign up for the eNaira speed wallet by inputting their BVN enrollment details.
First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, State of Origin, and Email are among the information provided.
“Your banks are ready to assist you in validating and updating your BVN details to ensure seamless enrolment to the eNaira Platform,” the statement says.
“Keep in mind that your BVN details are YOUR personal information; do not disclose to anyone.”
