Same-Sex Couple: “A Document That Requires Bishops And Priests To Explain To Their Churches Is Not A Good Document” – Fr. Kelvin Ugwu

Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, a Catholic priest, has once again condemned the controversial documents released by Pope Francis that encourage Catholic priests to bless same-sex couples. He strongly criticizes the document, stating that a document that requires explanation and clarification from bishops, conferences, and priests is not a good document.

Fr. Ugwu points out that the lack of clear stipulations in the document is problematic, as it allows for ambiguity and can be misinterpreted. He mentions Fr. James Martin, who publicly posted himself blessing his homosexual friends, using the document as a justification.

The priest reiterates his belief that the document is unnecessary and that he does not support it. He urges Christians not to mock or ridicule the Catholic faith, emphasizing that the Catholic Church should not be destroyed as it is built on the words of Christ.

his Statement reads;

“While I am waiting for someone to come fix my car, let me use this free time and state this once more. . .

“A document that almost every Bishop had to explain and clarify to their diocesan people, the Catholic Bishops conferences had to explain, and priests had to explain to their parishioners both online and offline, is not a good document.

“Yes, the document did not say much or make any clear stipulations, and that is basically the problem with the document. What it did not say is more devastating than what it was trying to say.

“The ambiguity is what will make someone like Fr James Martin come publicly to post himself blessing his homosexual friends and get away with it.

“As I said earlier, the document is unnecessary and I don’t stand by it one bit.

“For Christians all over the world, I say this. . . If the devil wants to scatter this Christian faith kpatakpata, all he needs to do is to destroy the Catholic church. You may not see it, but I don’t pray you see it ever. This is not the time for mockery. Don’t join those who have been looking for this opportunity to ridicule our faith in Christ.

“For Catholics, your faith is in Christ Jesus and luckily you have a good idea of what he stands for. While he won’t condemn the human persons, he won’t condone homosexual acts.

“My one conviction is the words of Christ:

“And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not PREVAIL against it.” ~Matthew 16:18

Enough said”
