Kolong Village, Nandi Central – A shocking incident unfolded on Thursday evening, July 13, 2023, as a Kenyan woman took matters into her own hands after catching a middle-aged man in the act of sexually assaulting her 3-year-old daughter. In a desperate bid to protect her child, the woman resorted to extreme measures, tragically hacking the man to death.
The deceased, who had previously assaulted the same child when she was just two years old, had been released by a Kapsabet court due to his mental challenges. However, his actions continued to haunt the family, leading to the fateful encounter that unfolded in their home.
The woman, driven by a mix of fear, anger, and a fierce maternal instinct, discovered the man red-handed, committing the heinous act. Fueled by a surge of emotions, she unleashed her fury upon him, resulting in his untimely demise.
Following the incident, the woman and her injured child were swiftly transported to Kapsabet County Referral Hospital in Nandi, where they are currently under police guard. The mother sustained severe injuries inflicted by angry neighbors who accused her of murder. Meanwhile, her young daughter is receiving medical treatment for the physical trauma she endured, including tears in her private parts.
In a shocking turn of events, the villagers, outraged by the man’s actions and the tragic outcome, took matters into their own hands. Fueled by a collective anger, they targeted the child’s mother, unleashing their fury by setting fire to her houses and tea bushes. The mob’s actions also extended to the police officers who arrived at the scene to rescue the woman, resulting in damage to a police van.
