Nigerian Music Star, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, globally known as Wizkid has set tongues wagging on the internet after he gave a special shout-out to his counterpart, David Adeleke, otherwise known as Davido, at his sold-out concert in New York last night.

While performing to over 20,000 fans at the Madison Square Garden, New York City, last night, Wizkid took a minute to commiserate and show love to Davido over the loss of his child, Ifeanyi Adeleke. 

At the concert, Wizkid said, in his words, ‘This one is for OBO’, as he proceeds to perform one of the singer’s hit songs, ‘Dami Duro (Omo Baba Olowo) to over 20,000 audience at the sold-out concert.

It would be recalled that Davido recently lost his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke. According to the Lagos State Police Command, autopsy result reveals that the boy died as a result of drowning. After the incident happened, many celebrities and fans –home and abroad, have commiserated with the Adeleke’s family.

Wizkid’s way of commiserating with Davido and showing him support at his sold-out concert last night has melted many people’s hearts. Here are some reactions from social media users.

Reacting to Wizkd’s show of love to Davido, popular twitter influencer, Asiwaju Lerry wrote, ‘Just saw the video from Wizkid’s concert where he played Davido’s song with lights out to show love and support for him. I still say I want to see these two rock stages together and their coming together will be one of the most beautiful things the industry has ever seen’.

A Facebook user, Benson Omoruyi Adunni Ade reacted thus, ‘This got me emotional. Be strong OBO. God gats you forever. We love you. Respect to Wizkid for doing this to my OBO.’
