A shocking tragedy has struck the Alagbaka area of Akure, the Ondo State capital, as Sesan Adelabu, a well-known socialite and owner of Emirate Filling Stations, has been reported to have brutally killed his wife before taking his own life.
The incident, which occurred on Friday night, February 9, has left the community in disbelief.
According to reports, Adelabu, popularly known as Emirate, allegedly used a machete to end his wife’s life before consuming a lethal insecticide, resulting in his own demise.
The bodies of the couple have been transferred to a morgue as the police commence their investigation into this tragic event.
Funmi Odunlami, the state police spokesperson, has confirmed the harrowing incident, revealing that the socialite’s heinous actions were followed by his own suicide using a substance known as sniper.
