Rumors sparked online, after a former president of Nigeria, Jonathan was found absent in the ongoing PDP National Convention.
Recall that, rumors circulated online that the Ex-President has defected from the People Democratic Party to the All Progressive Congress, with regards to the upcoming 2023 presidential election.
The rumor was addressed by Reno Omokro, who debunked the news, assured and his loyality to the People Democratic Party, though Jonathan neither anyone from his camp responded to the news.
When an APC chieftain was contacted, he stated that if Jonathan crossed over to their party he would be welcomed wholeheartedly.
Jonathan was found absent in the ongoing PDP National Convention held at Eagles Square, Abuja, this sparked different rumors, some stating that he had made up his mind defect to the All Progressives Congress.
This development may be due to the issue of zoning that has caused a crisis in the People Democratic Party, some are supporting that the ticket should be zoned to the Northern Region, while some are supporting that the ticket should be zoned to the Southern Region.
