The trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the self-declared leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafran, IPOB, for treasonable felony has taken a new turn, with Kanu filing a new suit against the Attorney General of the Federation AGF, Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami SAN, and the Department of State Service DSS on Monday afternoon.

Kanu is seeking an injunction from the federal high court in Abuja to compel the DSS to provide him access to food, medical care, and clothing of his choice in a new action filed today.

Barrister Maxwell Chibuike Okpara, his counsel, has filed the FHC/ABJ/CS1585/2021 complaint on his behalf.

Kanu also requested another order against DSS in the December 13, 2021 lawsuit, allowing him to make his own food arrangements at his own expense.

The lawsuit’s hearing date has yet to be set.
