Mr. Ibu Undergoes Another Leg Surgery, Faces Difficulty In Speaking

Comic actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, has reportedly undergone another surgery after having one of his legs amputated a few weeks ago. Sources have revealed that part of the same leg that was initially amputated has now been cut off in a subsequent surgery. Unfortunately, Mr. Ibu’s health has deteriorated to the point where he is finding it difficult to speak.

In addition to Mr. Ibu’s health concerns, there are also fears surrounding the declining health of veteran actor Amaechi Muonagor. Muonagor has been hospitalized at Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi, Anambra State, for over two months.

Dr. Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), provided an update on the actors’ health. He expressed resignation to the situation, stating that Mr. Ibu is now struggling to communicate due to his poor health. Furthermore, Muonagor’s legs are completely paralyzed, painting a grim picture of his condition.

Dr. Rollas called on fans and well-wishers of the actors to join hands with other philanthropic Nigerians in supporting them during this difficult time. He shared that the AGN Trust Fund has approved the sum of N250,000 to be sent to Muonagor’s account. However, this amount may not be sufficient considering Muonagor’s records with the Guild HMO and Insurance policy.

The news of Mr. Ibu’s additional leg surgery and his difficulty in speaking has saddened fans and the entertainment industry. The deteriorating health of both Mr. Ibu and Amaechi Muonagor serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by aging actors and the need for support during their time of need.
