He pursued his passion for English studies at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, graduating in 1987. Malagi furthered his education by obtaining a master’s degree in the same discipline from Bayero University Kano in 1995.

Career In Media And Publishing

In May 2011, Malagi established Blueprint, a newspaper publication that quickly gained recognition in Nigeria. As the chairman and chief executive officer, he played a pivotal role in shaping the newspaper’s editorial direction and ensuring its success. Aside from his involvement with Blueprint, Malagi is also the founder and chairman of Bifocal Group, a company that operates in various sectors, including media, public relations, and communications. As a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Malagi ventured into politics and aspired to become the governor of Niger State in the 2023 Nigerian general election. He was appointed as the director of strategic communications for the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), showcasing his ability to effectively communicate the party’s message to the public.

In August 2023, Mohammed Idris Malagi was appointed by President Bola Tinubu as the Minister of Information and National Orientation of Nigeria.
