The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has detained Michael Adebayo, a 53-year-old block moulder, for reportedly r*pping his friend’s 14-year-old daughter.
The victim’s father is alleged to live in the same neighborhood as the suspect.
The suspect committed the offence in his business at Ori Oke, Elekoyangan area of Ilorin, the state capital, according to the command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) in the state, Babawale Zaid Afolabi.
According to Afolabi, the suspect revealed in his confessional statement that the girl used to sell puff puff, which she would bring to his shop where he would entice her with N200 to commit the immoral deed.
In a separate development, the corps displayed Tajudeen Hammed, a phone engineer, who was also accused of forcing a 16-year-old girl to sleep with him.
“In the meantime, the two r*pe cases have been transferred to the intelligence and investigations department for full-scale investigations after which the suspects will be charged to court,” Babawale said.
