According to a news that was published by the Vanguard Newspaper online this morning, it was reported that one Henry Oko, who happens to be one of the victims of the December 14 attack, at Nwakpu Market, in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, by the people enforcing the sit-at-home order that was issued by Simon Ekpa, has cried out for justice and government intervention as his condition gets critical.

Information that was given made it known that, the victim was at the market, when the masked gunmen who claimed they were enforcing the five-day sit-at-home order, invaded the market and started shooting sporadically and also setting all vehicles they saw ablaze.

Henry, while talking claimed that they set his vehicle on fire, and also gave him deadly axe cuts in the head and shoulder before he was shot severally.

He said, while he was running for safety, he fell down and instead of them letting him go, he was shot.

Henry said, “When I fell, one said, ‘waste that man.'”

While giving details, he said, “As we were running amid the confusion when our vehicles were set on fire, one of them hit me with sharp axe on my head, I fell down and another said, ‘waste that man’. Then one of them shot me on my two legs close to my waist and axed me on my shoulder.”

More information made it known that his condition was getting serious, even after 13 bullets were extracted from his thighs of the victim, who has given birth to four children.
