“Femi Adesina is the reason nobody trusts Govt critics” – Deji Adeyanju

Deji Adeyanju, a former youth leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Friday criticised Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, for his recent statement on the scarcity of petrol.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Adesina had said the challenges being faced by Nigerians on petrol was not new in the country.

Reacting to the fuel crisis, Adesina, a former president of the Nigeria Guild of Editors (NGE), said that Nigerians faced similar challenges before the administration of President Buhari, adding that fuel crisis had been recurrent event in the country.

The presidential spokesman disclosed this in an article titled, ‘Knock, Knock. Who’s There’, and shared on his official Facebook page on Thursday, adding that Nigerians had slept in petrol stations queing for fuel on several occasion.

His article has not been well-received by majority of Nigerians, especially individuals on social media.

Sharing his thoughts on the trending discourse, Adeyanju wrote on his known Twitter handle: “Femi Adesina is why nobody trust Govt critics. 95% of critics and activists turn out to be more heartless and hopeless than the people they criticize once they get into Government.”
