Chef Dammy Alleged Arrest By Police Over N22 Million Lawsuit

Nigerian chef, Damilola Adeparusi, popularly known as Chef Dammy, has responded to an invitation from the police in connection to a N22 million lawsuit filed against her by Ekiti-based cleric, Prophet Adegoke Jeremiah, also known as Billion Dollars Prophet.

Chef Dammy appeared for questioning at the Police AIG zone 17 in Akure, Ondo state, following the legal action brought against her by Prophet Jeremiah.

The spokesperson of AIG Zone 17, DSP Hakeem, clarified that Dammy was invited for questioning based on a petition received against her and was subsequently granted administrative bail after providing a surety.

He said, “She is not in our custody. She was not detained.”

Chef Dammy gained attention for her attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Cooking Hours by an individual, cooking for 120 hours. This endeavor came days after Irish chef Alan Fisher surpassed the record previously held by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci.

In a related development, Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia criticized those who trolled Chef Dammy for attempting the cooking marathon.

Etinosa expressed dissatisfaction with how Nigerians treated Dammy’s attempt and suggested that if she had been encouraged, Nigeria might have retained the record. The actress noted that those who bullied Chef Dammy could do the same to the Irish chef, Alan Fisher.
