BREAKING NEWS: Port Harcourt N195bn Ring Road Project Suspended As Gov. Fubara Acts Amidst Allegations Against Former Gov. Wike

In a surprising turn of events, the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has taken the decision to suspend the N195 billion Port Harcourt Ring Road project. This massive project, which was launched earlier this year, had aimed to improve transportation in the state and was expected to be completed within 36 months by the construction company, Julius Berger.

During the initial project commissioning, Governor Fubara had proudly mentioned that 75% of the project’s funding had already been released to Julius Berger. This funding was intended to help expedite the road’s construction, which was seen as crucial for the development of the region.

However, insider sources have now shed light on allegations of corruption within the state’s government. According to these sources, the former governor of the state, Nyesome Wike, is alleged to have had a financial interest in various state contracts, including the Port Harcourt Ring Road project.
