[BREAKING] #ImoDecides2023: Hope Uzodimma Commands Lead, Secures Victory In 20 LGAs

In a pivotal update from the Imo state governorship election, Governor Hope Uzodimma, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC), has taken a commanding lead, securing victories in an impressive 20 out of the 27 Local Government Areas (LGAs) announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

As per the latest figures released by INEC, Governor Uzodimma has amassed a total of 429,518 votes across the declared 20 LGAs. The LGAs announced include Oru West, Owerri North, Obowo, Nwangele, Orsu, Owerri Municipal, Okigwe, Ideato South, Onuimo, Ngor Okpala, Oru East, Isu, Nkwere, Ahiazu Mbaise, Owerri West, Isiala Mbano, Ezinihitte Mbaise, Oguta, Aboh Mbaise, and Njaba.

Results from the remaining seven LGAs are eagerly anticipated, as the electoral process unfolds in Imo state. The Returning Officer for the election, Professor Abayomi Fasina, Vice Chancellor of the University of Oye, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state, has announced a 30-minute break to facilitate reconciliation by some LGA Returning Officers.
