Ayo Shonaiya, born Ayoola Olufemi Shonaiya, spent his formative years in Lagos, Nigeria. His educational journey took him to The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Florida, where he studied Film and Television. While studying film in Florida, Shonaiya gained hands-on experience at a local TV station, eventually producing segments for a program. His filmmaking journey took a turn when he returned to London in 1992. He wrote, produced, directed, and acted in his first feature film, “More Blessing,” during his final year of Law School.
