During the gubernatorial voting in Anambra, chaos broke out over the result sheet in Nnewi Local Government Area.
The ongoing election has been free and fair, with no record of violence, rigging recorded at any polling center.
However, chaos broke out over result sheet in Nnewi LGA, Polling Unit 002, Enem Hall, Otolo Ward 2.
The issue started when members of the People Democratic Party claimed that the original result sheet was not brought by the electoral officers.
Our sources stated that the members of the polling unit failed to commence accreditation, claiming that until the original sheet is brought the election won’t hold.
The election will be tough, 18 candidates from different political parties are lobbying for 2,525,371 million votes to become the next Governor of Anambra state.
Also, complaints of failed voting machines were reported across different polling units in the state, due to this mechanical issue, the voting time has been extended to 4 pm by the independent electoral commission.
