Ahead of the slated gubernatorial election slated to hold today, three major towns In Anambra have turned Ghost Town.

Recall that, there has been pressure from the Indigenous Peoples Of Biafra members, who affirmed that a sit-at-home would be enforced in all southeast towns.

According to our correspondent, three major towns In Anambra have turned Ghost Town, and the election will be coming up in a few hours. Our sources who visited stated that the commercial Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, and Ekwulobia, have been deserted, there was no visible movement of People, motorists, traders, shops owner, motor parks.

Though, Emma Powerful, the IPOB spokesman released a statement where he lifted the sit-at-home order ban, and asked all citizens of Anambra to participate in the election, but yet since yesterday all the commercial cities of especially in Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, and Ekwulobia, have been deserted.

This may be caused by the threats from the National Biafra Guards or the heavy presence of security personnel; Police, DSS, Army, and others that we’re deployed to the state.
