MohBad’s Toxicology Test Conducted In USA, Autopsy Update Revealed

The Lagos Coroner Court in Ita-Elewa, Ikorodu, has provided an update on the autopsy process for late music star Mohbad, also known as Ilerioluwa Promise Aloba. The state counsel, O. Akinde, informed the Coroner Magistrate, Adetayo Shotobi, that the critical toxicology aspect, concerning the internal body examination, is being conducted in the United States of America (USA).

Akinde responded to inquiries from other counsels, including David Fadimu, representing the deceased’s father, David Nawoola from TNKay Music Worldwide, and an NBA (Nigerian Bar Association) representative, O.S.A. Aranmolaran. The completion of the autopsy for the external body was confirmed, but the toxicology test requires examination in the USA.

During the proceedings, the Coroner Magistrate questioned the choice of conducting the toxicology test abroad, expressing curiosity when Nigeria has toxicology laboratories. The reason for this decision was not explicitly mentioned in the provided information.

In a separate development, an aunt of the late Mohbad accused his mother, Olumiyi, of abandoning him at the age of eight. She alleged that Olumiyi’s promiscuity led to her getting pregnant for another man at the expense of caring for her children. The aunt further claimed that Olumiyi and her daughter-in-law get along due to their shared “wayward lifestyle.”
