The executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has revealed the names of interested PDP members for the upcoming 2023 general election.
This is coming after weeks of serious fights and hassle between the members of the People Democratic Party, over the issue of zoning, the party was divided into factions, because some people supported that the Presidential ticke( Tambuwal) should be zones to the North, while some (Seyi Makinde, Nyesom Wike) believed that the ticket should be zoned to the Southern
Earlier today, Makinde during a show “Politics Today” on Channels Television
revealed the names of interested PDP members for the upcoming 2023 general election.
He stated ” Atiku Abubakar, (Former Vice President), Aminu Tambuwal (Incumbent Governor Sokoto State) and Bala Mohammed (Incumbent Governor of Bauchi) have been showing interest to run under the aegis of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the election.
“All these people are past Governors and president, who has a lot of experience in politics and are capable of leading Nigeria right”.
“All rumors that PDP is divided internally, is not true, we are a united party, all PDP Governors regardless of Origin, we are united, which is our top priority, we are all aligned, moving in one direction, no matter how hard out obstacles and challenge maybe, we still have high hopes, and inclined towards making this country great again.
