Why Police Invited Mr Ibu’s Sons, Adopted Daughter – Ex-Manager, Chochoo

Emeka Chochoo, the ex-manager of popular actor John Okafor, also known as Mr Ibu, has shed light on the police invitation extended to Mr Ibu’s two sons and adopted daughter, Jasmine. The invitation reportedly stems from a financial dispute related to the signatory authority of the actor’s account.

As previously reported by Best News Network, allegations surfaced that Mr Ibu’s wife, Stella Maris, ordered the arrest of Jasmine and the actor’s sons, accusing Jasmine of transferring N300 million from Mr Ibu’s account.

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala shared the news on Instagram, revealing that the trio was detained at the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex in Alagbon, Lagos.

In an interview with Punch on Thursday, Chochoo confirmed the police invitation, stating, “Yes, they were all invited by the police. I won’t call it an arrest; the police invited them over Mr Ibu’s account.”

He clarified that Val, one of Mr Ibu’s sons, was excluded from the situation as he was unaware of the ongoing developments, having recently returned to the country.

Stella Maris, when contacted for comment, declined to provide any insight into the allegations, stating, “Please, I do not want to say anything about it, please.”
