Why Buhari Refused To Sign Electoral Amendment Bill – Aisha Yesufu

Popular Human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu has revealed why the President of Nigeria, Buhari refused to sign an electoral amendment bill.

Recall that, in late 2021, the senate proposed an electoral amendment bill.

The bill states that all political party primary elections should be conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

However, on December 22nd Buhari rejected the bill stating that the increased cost to political parties and INEC to conduct primaries In over eight thousand wards will make things hard for political parties.

Earlier today, Aisha Yesufu revealed why the Buhari refused to sign an electoral amendment bill.

She stated that Buhari doesn’t like himself by rejecting the bill. His shallow-minded mentality is blinding him from taking the right step.

Signing the bill will be the only legacy he will leave for his 8 years term in office.
