Few hours ago, Labour Party candidate for FCT Senatorial seat, Mrs Ireti Kinigbe was interviewed on Arise News by Charles Aniagolu. During this interview, she revealed why she joined the Labour Party and what she saw in Kwankwaso’s party (NNPP) that influenced her decision not to join his party.
According to her, what she saw in Kwankwaso’s party (NNPP), is a bit of disconnect between the Area Council Party chairman and the State Party Chairman. She made it clear that there was disunity between these two leaders and she was not looking forward to running under a platform where the leaders are disunited.
She went further to say that she met the Party founder, Kwankwaso and he was a very nice man, but something about her intuition made her decide not to still join NNPP.
However, she was approached by some members of the Labour Party to join their party and after laying out her Terms and Conditions which they agreed to, she formally joined their party.
