It was reported that the President, Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday had condemned the killing of non-indigenes and law enforcement officials by terrorists in the South East. In a statement issued by the presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, the President, Muhammadu Buhari vowed to undertake all possible actions in conducting a speedy investigation to bring the perpetrators to just.
Based on these notes, the former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Anambra State, Chief Dan Ulasi while speaking during an interview with the AIT made it known that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (President Muhammadu Buhari) was consoling the people of Niger Republic over the death of five citizens of the country and other police officers who were killed in the South East in their duty post.
Further speaking, Dan Ulasi stated that people started calling him, asking what was the duty of Niger Republic in the South East, adding that Niger Republic has received a lot of favor from Nigeria government.
Dan Ulasi, however, said that this is the first time people were killed, and the President is showing concern and felt so bad to the extent he has to call the Ohanaeze and the Igbos to Investigate in order to bring the people responsible for the killing to justice.
