On Sunday, December 26, 2021, two members of Olivet Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee, traded blows while the pastor was speaking, creating quite a scene.
In a video, a church member can be seen approaching towards another male church member who is calmly listening to the pastor’s message.
After the unnamed member threw the first punch, the male member seated next to him instantly engaged him in a punching match.
Bishop Kevin Adams, the pastor, attempted to stop the church members from fighting, but they persisted, as he was heard shouting, “Stop it, Marcus.” Come on, Marcus.”
However, following the altercation, the pastor revealed that the man in the white t-shirt had recently completed rehab and had gone straight for the youth pastor, who was seated in the front row.
He went on to say that because he didn’t know where he was, the man might have relapsed.
The clergyman revealed that once they were able to calm him down, he broke down in tears, adding that the man stated that he is returning to treatment and that the church is totally supportive of his decision.
