Udom Emmanuel Reveals Powerful Key Regret As Former Akwa Ibom Governor

Udom Emmanuel, the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, disclosed his primary regret during his tenure as the state’s governor. Speaking at a Special Thanksgiving/Welcome Service organized to honor him and his wife, Martha Emmanuel, Udom shared that his main regret was not having control over policies.

Despite having a well-laid blueprint and achieving various accomplishments, Udom expressed that lacking control over policies hindered the state’s progress. He emphasized that if he had control over policies, Akwa Ibom would have been significantly ahead of other states in Nigeria.

He said, “The only regret I have is that I did not control policies. If I had control over policies as a state, trust me, we would have been miles ahead as a state. But today, I still thank God that we went with our blueprint and God helped us.”

In a statement from the Press Unit of the Government House in Uyo, Udom expressed gratitude for the success of the governorship election in the state. He acknowledged Governor Uno Eno as part of God’s plan for the state, stating, “I feel fulfilled about God’s plan in the person of Pastor Uno Eno, and that has turned out very well.”

Additionally, Udom revealed the unique story behind the logo of the state-owned airline, Ibom Air. While others paid substantial amounts for logos, Udom highlighted that Captain Mfon Udom’s daughter designed the Ibom Air Logo for free, showcasing a remarkable community effort.

He said, “other people paid billions for the logo, but Captain Mfon Udom’s daughter designed the Ibom Air Logo free of charge for us.”
