Senator Ned Nwoko’s senior legislative aide, Barrister Chris Agidy, who had been held captive since being kidnapped alongside others in the Galadimawa neighborhood of Abuja in late 2023, has been found dead after being killed by infamous kidnapper Samaila Wakili, according to the Federal Capital Territory Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh.

Confirmed today, February 27, 2024, Wakili—who was recently apprehended by police operatives in the Sardauna Forest, Toto area of Nasarawa State—leaded authorities to the location of Barrister Agidy’s remains, which were then retrieved and taken to Gwagwalada General Hospital.

This grim development comes following an initial report suggesting that twelve out of nineteen individuals abducted during the incident were killed while attempts were made to secure their release.

The identity of those previously reported missing or presumed dead could not be definitively established until now due to ongoing search operations and negotiations between the lawmaker and security forces.
