Though the death has yet to be officially revealed, insiders at the palace who spoke on the condition of anonymity confirmed the death.
The monarch died today, 2 January, at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Oyo state, at the age of 93.
Oba Adetunji was a successful businessman, and his rule brought peace to Ibadan.
According to Ibadan monarchical order, Oloye Lekan Balogun, who is currently Otun Olubadan, is likely to become the new Olubadan of Ibadan.
