Nigerians home and abroad threw in different congratulations after a new award bagged by Tinubu and Buhari was announced earlier today.
Recall that Nigeria’s 61st independence anniversary was celebrated yesterday in Abuja. The celebration was filled with so much fun and enthusiasm, and also, the long-term ban on microblogging platform Twitter was lifted temporarily by President General Muhammadu Buhari (retd).
The new award bagged by Tinubu and Buhari was hosted by the United Kingdom branch of the All Progressives Congress party to appreciate and celebrate President Muhammadu Buhari and Chief Bola Tinubu, a colossal figure of the All Progressive Party during the merriment of the independence anniversary.
A statement was released earlier today by Comrade Jacob Ogunseye, the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressive Congress party chapter in the United Kingdom.
He stated that Chief Bola Tinubu got a Leadership Award, while President Buhari got a Nation Builder award at Dorchester Hotel, where the ceremony was held in the UK.
He further said that the two deserve an award; despite the downturn and the present challenges faced by the Nation, the two figured still provides a bright future for the nation; the Independence Day celebration was just an overview of Nigeria’s past, present and preparation for the future, though we might not be where we ought to be, we have moved from the past.
Now is the time for us to cooperate as a nation and revamp, repair, and re-engineer Nigeria’s economic, financial challenges to improve standards of living for all citizens.
