During an interview with News Central Media, the ADC governorship candidate in Akwa-Ibom, Ezekiel Nya-Etok, stated that the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has changed the political ideology of the people in the south-south and particularly Akwa-Ibom state with his political ambition.
He revealed that the presence of Peter Obi in the presidential race has caused a major upset in the political equilibrium in the South, adding that he has completely demystified the concept of “my party” to personal selection.
According to him, “Two things happen to the PDP in Akwa-Ibom, unfortunately: first, the person, not the party’s ideology, and at this point, I want to acknowledge Mr. Peter Obi because that man has caused a major upset in the political equilibrium in the South, and particularly in Akwa-Ibom state. “We’re extremely religious, and Peter Obi came and really demystified that concept of my party; it is now how they choose you.”
