Femi Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has criticized the Deputy High Commissioner of the UK to Nigeria, Ben Llewellyn-Jones, for his recent negative comments towards him.
Jones had raised concerns about Fani-Kayode’s alleged derogatory comments on social media concerning opposition parties.
In response to this, Fani-Kayode tweeted advising Jones to refrain from interfering with Nigeria’s affairs.
According to him, Nigeria is no longer a colony of the UK and Jones’ candidate of choice lost in the just concluded presidential elections.
Fani-Kayode’s tweet read: “I would advise this Ben, who I am told is the Deputy High Commissioner of the UK to Nigeria, to keep his dirty nose out of our internal affairs.
“I know that his preferred candidate did not win the presidential election but that does not mean he should cross the line and take liberties with us here. I wonder who the hell he thinks he is”
